This weekend is International Helmet Awareness Day promoted by Riders4Helmets. It is a subject that I feel really strongly about and that I have dedicated several posts on this day.
This year I decided to return to the basics and provide a little guidance on choosing a helmet and the time to change it for a new one.
Hello hello ….. Last month I had the opportunity to go to Amsterdam with my mom, and obviously we went to a tack shop near(ish) the city. Because co’mon going to Netherlands and not visiting anything related to horses :p .
We originally wanted to go to Het Gareel to a saddle fitting, but because of schedules and the distance from Amsterdam we were not able to go. A quick internet search led me to Epplejeck. Hope you had a great week! This time I want to talk about cleaning your helmet. I personally think that is a part of our tack that is sometimes forgotten, but it should be cleaned constantly because has direct contact with our foreheads and can cause skin problems and is something that particularly looks bad when it’s dirty.
