Hello hello … This post comes a little late, but nevertheless I want to share with you guys my experience at last year’s National Dressage Championships in Mexico.
In the show kept me running like a headless chicken hahaha. I was a rider, FEI steward, judge for training classes and show secretary. It was a lot of work, but worth it.
Rumor and I entered in the USEF 1st level class, and in the end we were 3rd Regional and 4th National. Not too shabby if you take into account that I stopped riding for a few months, then arrived to Mexico 10 days before the show and that’s all we got to prepare. Plus being away half of the season for the regionals that is a point chasing championship. I’m really proud of us, getting those results with very little prep and with difficult and stressful circumstances during the show. It is also bit bitter sweet ’cause this was the last show with him being officially mine (the story here).
Sorry in advance for the quality or angles of some of the pictures, but they were not intended for the blog.
Have you ever prepared very little for a big show? Tell us about it!
