Hello hello How have you been?
This time I want to share with you my experience as a journalist at the FEI World Cup Dressage Finals in Paris.
I made a partnership with the online Mexican Dressage news outlet Informando en Línea as the european reporter of the online magazine, and got the opportunity to go to this year’s finals of the World Cup in Paris(!!!!).
All the rides where good, but my favorite by far was Edward Gal and Glock’s Zonik NOP. There was something hypnotic about them that transported me to a different planet.
Soooo, let’s begin the journey!
Day 1 – April 13th
Arrived at the venue to get my accreditation and then went to the press room to get the press kit, timetables, etc. After that I went to see the super ponies competing, then the award ceremony and press conference/draw. I stayed for a bit of the jumping final.
Day 2 – April 14th
I had a hectic and stresfull start because my camera battery decided to die and had to rush to get new ones, which thank God was relatively quick and easy (note to self bring more than one spare battery). After that was pretty smooth, watched some beautiful freestyles and then the award ceremony and the press conference afterwards. Before leaving I couldn’t resist and bought some goodies at the Ariat/FEI boutique.
Bonus: April 15th
I stayed in Paris an extra day before returned home and did some sightseeing 🙂 .
You can check the results here and read my article of the show here (in spanish).
