Hello hello….. How have you been? This time I want to share my experience of being a Steward at Nice’s Summer CDI.
The event was hosted by the Club Hippique de Nice. The show included a CDI3*, CDIYH, CDIP, CDICh, CDIJ, CDIYR and CDIU25. It had de Phoenix Arena, the Warm Up + 10 min arena next to it and the free training arena. Parallel to the CDI the OC ran a national show, but we honestly didn’t saw each other. Over 40 horses took part and 12 nations were represented.
The show was really top class! The organizing committee was very gracious and I must thank Jean-Christophe Comet for letting me take part in this great show. I want to give special thanks to my Chief Steward Jean-Louis Valkenborgh, and to my fellow Steward Didier Ferrer. It was a pleasure working with you.
Soooo, let’s begin the journey!
Day 1 – August 12th
The Horse Inspection took place with all the horses approved :). Some free training and familiarization for all the CDI horses. And a welcome reception at the evening.
Day 2 – August 13th
In the morning I stewarded the warm up and 10 min arena. In the afternoon I was on tack check. And helped with the prize giving ceremonies of all classes.
Day 3 – August 14th
In the morning I was on tack check. In the afternoon I stewarded the warm up and 10 min arena. And helped with the prize giving ceremonies of all classes.
Day 4 – August 15th
I had to leave early so I was only in the morning block. In that I stewarded the warm up and 10 min arena. And helped with the prize giving ceremonies.
You can check the results here.
What do you think of the show?
